We’re Sheaf Design Works, a creative design studio based in Kelham Island, Sheffield.
Read on to get a feel for our studio, and put some names to the faces behind our business.
We’re a family business, creating beautiful design-led stationery across the UK since 2014.
Owned and run by partners in business (and in marriage) Leanne and Martin — The Sheaf Design Works Studio is based out of our offices in Sheffield.
We work with modern and alternative couples, providing unique, award-winning, luxury wedding stationery — alongside beautiful branding and print for a range of brilliant businesses.
We are a little but lovely studio, and our office is always buzzing with design and stationery production. If you’d like to pop by, be inspired by our designs and chat through your requirements, we’d love to welcome you by appointment to make sure we can give you our undivided attention.

We love nothing more than wedding chit chat, discovering ALL your plans and exploring ALL those beautiful details – doing things face to face is our absolute fave.
Our studio display includes a range of beautiful bespoke ranges in a variety of styles and we have space to sit, chat, look through samples and enjoy a brew (or two). But, if you’re further afield, we’re always happy to jump on a video call, co-ordinate things virtually and mail your gorgeous samples.
We have a printing and finishing area where we take care of your beautiful orders, we carry a stock of professional-grade creative papers and when it comes to those specialist luxury finishes such as hot foiling, we outsource to our trusted partners.

Our story
So, while we’re excited to get to know about you and your wedding, it’s equally important for you to know us. Here’s a bit of background info.
Leanne | Graphic Designer
Leanne is the face of the company, and the creative force behind Sheaf Design.
Qualified to degree level, an original ‘Cas lass’ — Leanne came to Sheffield after moving here to study Graphic Design back in 2002. She met Martin in her student halls, and the rest is history.
Before setting up her own design business, Leanne worked a graphic designer for 15 years at a Barnsley-based design and print agency. With an obsession for design, print and all things paper, it was here where her love for all things wedding began as lead designer for I Do Magazine (a Yorkshire-based wedding events company).
Now she uses her design skills and wedding industry knowledge to deliver beautiful design and print for all their couples.
Martin | Manager & Director
Originally from Nottingham, Martin came to Sheffield to study photography after studying art history and photography at college in Norwich.
Now as a full time manager at a corporate business, Martin’s skillset includes keeping things organised and running smoothly as well as being on hand to offer support and solve problems.
You’ll find him taking care of business in the background, studying excel spreadsheets and looking after accounts. That said, when we’re busy and the studio is buzzing with beautiful orders, he assists in all aspects of the studio. From picking up enquiries and making deliveries, to running the printer and guillotine. When it’s all hands on deck he’ll even join in with design, finishing and packing your lovely orders.
It’s not all work
As it’s a family affair, you may even see our gang out and about together around the Kelham Island area, or helping us set up at business events.
Out of work we enjoy indie music (you’ll find Leanne at the front at Tramlines), walking and camping in the countryside, checking out local attractions, and enjoying a few beers and pub grub (with J2Os for our mini colleagues).
Why Sheaf Design?
Like many people who become adopted Sheffielders, we fell in love with this city, and we’re incredibly proud to live here.
It’s where we met, married and started our family. And since we serve so many incredible couples and businesses in Sheffield & South Yorkshire, it seemed only fitting to incorporate a little Sheffield into our business.
For those from further afield — the river Sheaf runs right through the city, and is where Sheffield gets its name from.
